EBAY FEED

eBay Product Feed

An eBay product feed is the bulk listing file that puts your catalog in front of eBay's buyers — each item mapped to an eBay category, its required item specifics and product identifiers. Pricefy builds it from your catalog, validates it against eBay's listing requirements, and keeps it synced with your repriced, in-stock prices.

THE BASICS

What is an eBay product feed?

An eBay product feed is a structured file of your products — each with a title, price, quantity, condition, images and the item specifics eBay expects — used to create and update listings in bulk instead of one at a time. Every row maps a product to an eBay category and carries an action (add, revise, relist or end) so your listings stay in sync.

eBay is strict about listing data: titles, condition, product identifiers (brand, MPN, UPC/EAN) and category-specific item specifics all have to be right, and prices and stock kept current, or listings underperform or get restricted. Keeping that file accurate as your catalog and prices change is the job Pricefy automates.

Core listing attributes

  • Action — the row's purpose: add, revise, relist or end
  • Category — the eBay category ID, which sets the required item specifics
  • Custom Label (SKU) — your unique identifier for each item
  • Title — the listing title, front-loaded with what buyers search
  • Condition — new, used, refurbished or another eBay condition
  • Price & Quantity — the current fixed price (or auction start price) and units available
  • Picture URL — one or more product image links
  • Item specifics — brand, size, colour and the category-specific fields eBay requires
  • Product identifiers — UPC/EAN, or Brand + MPN, where they apply

Required fields and item specifics vary by category and marketplace — eBay generates a category-specific template listing exactly what each item needs, and product identifiers are required for most branded, new products. Pricefy's validation flags what each item is missing before the feed syncs.

The prices on eBay come from your repricing engine

Most feed tools just move your catalog to eBay. Pricefy is a price intelligence platform first: competitor monitoring on every plan shows where you stand, and from the Pro plan up, dynamic repricing publishes your adjusted prices straight into your eBay listings — so you stay competitive on one of the most price-transparent marketplaces without editing listings by hand.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

eBay product feeds, answered

What format does an eBay product feed use?
eBay listings are managed in bulk with File Exchange flat-file (CSV) templates, or via eBay's API. Pricefy generates the listing data eBay expects and validates it before syncing.
What fields are required to list on eBay?
Every row needs an action (add, revise, relist or end), a category, a custom label (SKU), title, condition, price, quantity and at least one image — plus the category-specific item specifics and product identifiers (UPC/EAN or brand + MPN) where they apply. Pricefy flags anything an item is missing before it lists.
Are product identifiers and item specifics mandatory?
For most branded, new products eBay requires product identifiers, and every category has its own required item specifics. Requirements vary by category and marketplace, so Pricefy maps and validates them per item against the eBay template.
Can Pricefy keep my eBay prices and stock up to date?
Yes. Pricefy syncs on the schedule you set, carrying your latest repriced prices and current stock, and pulls out-of-stock items so listings stay accurate.
Can Pricefy put my repriced prices onto eBay?
Yes — that's the point. Prices come from your Pricefy repricing rules (dynamic repricing from the Pro plan up), so your eBay listings reflect your live competitive position, not a stale export.
