BING SHOPPING FEED

Bing Shopping Product Feed

A Bing Shopping feed is the product data file Microsoft Merchant Center uses to run your Microsoft Advertising Shopping campaigns — and, increasingly, Copilot shopping surfaces. Pricefy builds it from your catalog, mapped to Microsoft's specification, validated before it ships, and refreshed on schedule with your repriced, in-stock prices.

THE BASICS

What is a Bing Shopping feed?

A Bing Shopping feed is a structured file of your products submitted to Microsoft Merchant Center (MMC). Microsoft reads it to build your Shopping ads across Bing, MSN and the Microsoft Search Network, and it also informs the product results Microsoft Copilot surfaces.

The convenient part: Microsoft reuses the Google Merchant Center attribute schema, so a well-built Google Shopping feed is most of the way to a Bing one. Microsoft can even import your existing Google Merchant Center catalog directly. Pricefy maps your catalog to Microsoft's spec, validates it, and keeps prices and stock current.

FEED SPECIFICATION

What Microsoft Merchant Center expects

The essentials of Microsoft's product feed spec — which mirrors the Google schema. Pricefy maps your catalog to every attribute and validates before delivery; see Microsoft's documentation for the authoritative list.

Formats
Tab-delimited TXT/TSV (XML only for an existing Google-formatted RSS feed)
Delivery
Scheduled URL fetch (once / 24h), FTP/SFTP (US), manual upload, or Content API
Taxonomy
Google product taxonomy (google_product_category) — same as Google
Refresh
Offers expire after 30 days unless refreshed; daily for fast-moving prices and stock

Core required attributes

  • id — a unique identifier for each product
  • title — the product name
  • link — the product landing page URL
  • image_link — the main product image URL
  • availability — in stock, out of stock or preorder
  • price — the current price, with currency
  • condition — new, refurbished or used
  • brand and gtin or mpn — with identifier_exists where they don't apply

Because Microsoft reuses the Google schema, the same catalog mapping serves both — Microsoft can also import your Google Merchant Center feed directly. Note that MMC takes tab-delimited TXT/TSV, not comma-CSV, for direct upload; Pricefy generates the right format and validates it.

HOW PRICEFY EXPORTS TO MICROSOFT BING

From catalog to a Microsoft-ready feed

1

Import your catalog

Connect Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, PrestaShop or Magento — or import a CSV. Products, prices and stock sync automatically.

2

Load the Bing template

Pick Microsoft Bing and your country: Pricefy loads the exact spec — required attributes, tab-delimited format and the Google product taxonomy.

3

Map, enrich and validate

Map your fields to the Microsoft attributes, apply rules, map categories, and let validation flag incomplete products before they ship.

4

Publish price-aware

Deliver a feed URL (or FTP/SFTP) that refreshes on schedule — carrying the prices your repricing rules produce, with out-of-stock SKUs excluded automatically.

The prices in your feed come from your repricing engine

Most feed tools just move your catalog to Microsoft. Pricefy is a price intelligence platform first: competitor monitoring on every plan shows where you stand, and from the Pro plan up, dynamic repricing publishes your adjusted prices straight into the Bing feed. Your Microsoft ads never advertise yesterday's price or an out-of-stock product.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Bing Shopping feeds, answered

Can I reuse my Google Shopping feed for Bing?
Largely yes — Microsoft Merchant Center reuses the Google Merchant Center attribute schema and can even import your existing Google catalog directly. Pricefy generates the Microsoft-ready file (tab-delimited TXT/TSV) and validates it.
What format does a Bing Shopping feed use?
Microsoft accepts tab-delimited text (.txt / .tsv), and XML only when it is an existing Google-formatted RSS feed — not comma-CSV for direct upload. Pricefy produces the correct format automatically.
What are the required fields?
The core attributes are id, title, link, image_link, availability, price and condition, plus brand and gtin/mpn for most products (with identifier_exists where they don't apply) — the same schema Google uses.
How often should I refresh the feed?
Offers expire after 30 days in Microsoft Merchant Center unless refreshed, but prices and stock should be kept current — daily or intraday for fast-moving catalogs. Pricefy refreshes on the schedule you set.
Can Pricefy put my repriced prices into the Bing feed?
Yes. Prices come from your Pricefy repricing rules (dynamic repricing from the Pro plan up), so your Microsoft ads reflect your live competitive position, not a stale export.
