PINTEREST PRODUCT FEED

Pinterest Product Feed

A Pinterest catalog data source is the product file that turns your catalog into shoppable Product Pins and powers Pinterest Shopping ads. Pricefy builds it from your catalog, mapped to Pinterest's specification, validated before it ships, and refreshed on schedule with your repriced, in-stock prices.

THE BASICS

What is a Pinterest data source?

A Pinterest data source (catalog) is a structured file of your products that Pinterest ingests to create Product Pins — shoppable pins with live price and availability — and to power Shopping ads. A catalog is required to run Pinterest Shopping ads at all.

Pinterest's spec is closely modeled on the Google Merchant Center schema, so a well-built Google Shopping feed carries over cleanly. Pinterest ingests your hosted feed roughly once every 24 hours, so keeping prices and stock current matters. Pricefy maps your catalog to Pinterest's fields, validates it, and refreshes it on schedule.

Core required attributes

  • id — a unique identifier for each product
  • title — the product name
  • description — accurate product detail
  • link — the product landing page URL
  • image_link — the main product image URL
  • price — the current price, with currency
  • availability — in stock, out of stock or preorder

Add item_group_id when a product has variants (size, color). Pinterest is closely aligned with the Google spec — the same catalog mapping serves both. Files can't be password-protected or Dropbox-hosted. Pricefy handles the mapping and validation.

Pinterest: getting started with catalogs
HOW PRICEFY EXPORTS TO PINTEREST

From catalog to a Pinterest-ready feed

1

Import your catalog

Connect Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, PrestaShop or Magento — or import a CSV. Products, prices and stock sync automatically.

2

Load the Pinterest template

Pick Pinterest and your country: Pricefy loads the exact spec — required attributes, format and the Google product taxonomy.

3

Map, enrich and validate

Map your fields, group variants with item_group_id, apply rules, and let validation flag incomplete products before they ship.

4

Publish price-aware

Deliver a hosted feed URL (or FTP/SFTP) that refreshes on schedule — carrying the prices your repricing rules produce, with out-of-stock SKUs excluded automatically.

The prices in your feed come from your repricing engine

Most feed tools just move your catalog to Pinterest. Pricefy is a price intelligence platform first: competitor monitoring on every plan shows where you stand, and from the Pro plan up, dynamic repricing publishes your adjusted prices straight into the Pinterest catalog. Your Product Pins and Shopping ads never show yesterday's price or an out-of-stock product.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Pinterest feeds, answered

Do I need a catalog to run Pinterest Shopping ads?
Yes — a catalog (data source) is required to run Shopping ads and to create Product Pins. Pricefy generates and validates the data source for you.
Can I reuse my Google Shopping feed?
Largely yes — Pinterest's spec is closely modeled on the Google Merchant Center schema and uses id as the identifier. Pricefy maps a single catalog to both.
What format does a Pinterest feed use?
Pinterest accepts TSV, CSV, XML (RSS 2.0 / Atom 1.0) and Google Sheets, UTF-8 encoded. Files can't be password-protected. Pricefy produces the correct format automatically.
How often is my feed refreshed?
Pinterest re-ingests hosted feeds roughly every 24 hours (manual uploads should be refreshed within 7 days). Pricefy refreshes on the schedule you set, with the latest prices and stock.
Can Pricefy put my repriced prices into the Pinterest feed?
Yes. Prices come from your Pricefy repricing rules (dynamic repricing from the Pro plan up), so your Product Pins and ads reflect your live competitive position, not a stale export.
